For sale a vintage cameo brooch from the 1950s to 1960s.  It has all the characteristics of a hematite, the carving is typical hematite grey and mounted on a polished hematite background.  The face appears to be applied to the backing.  The cameo is mounted in a detailed scrolling metal work setting.  The brooch is approximately 1 1/4" by 1 1/4".  The setting is unbranded and is antique gold toned.  The pin back is firmly affixed and is the roll-over locking type.  Beautiful vintage piece which would be a revival of the Victorian mourning brooch.
