It took me forever to get a solid ID on this awesome cue & it's obviously a very rare model as could find no examples of another selling online & the only picture (included here) I found was a newer Adam catalog when they briefly made repro's of the cues from this line that includes the Ritz, Monte Carlo, Prince and Bludgeon among a few others. This cue is an Adam model FG-8 or "Machete" & vintage is early 1970's. It's an old cue and has a few condition mentionables, but pretty clean overall and shoots great.
The cue had no wrap and both ferrule and tip were a bit worn, so I had my friend Sheldon or Lebow Custom Cues (lives near me) put a new white with green speck (like original) linen wrap on it (pressed, but not polished) as well as a new ferrule and LePro tip.
As far as condition mentionables, it has a slight wow to the shaft, but not really play affecting. I shot with it before having the new tip and ferrule installed and it shot great and I had no issues with unintentional english. The shaft has been cleaned also, has a great taper & super smooth.
Weight is 19 oz., length is 57 15/16" & tip is 13mm or maybe a hair less. I do not have a micrometer if the right size to measure with, so used a metric ruler and eyeballed it the best I could.
There are some random small nicks & dings as would be expected of a cue this age that has been played, but not abused. I considered having Sheldon refinish it, but it far from begs it and best to keep as original as possible. There are a few very fine lines just behind the collar at the steel butt joint. They look to be no more than very fine finish cracks from age. I ran a fingernail over them and could feel nothing.
The cue has 4 of what I suspect are ebony points (repro has ebony here) with 4 colored veneers. The points are very even and super sharp. Two more differences that separate this original from the repro are that the "chain link" ring treatment at the joint on both butt and shaft of the repro shows more dots in the "chain" as it where and only one piece (like modern cues) of steel on butt only for joint.
The other cues from this same line like the Ritz and Monte Carlo typically sell in the 1k to 2k range depending on condition. I am thoroughly convinced this cue is much rarer as it's nearly impossible to find even a picture of one that is not a repro. I'm letting it go for less due to the shaft having a wow in it. Again, it is pretty minor and not play affecting. The warp or wow is also evenly over the length of the tapered area and gradual, so no dogleg or kinked issues. I checked it with a metric rule and would guess that it would need to move about 2 to 3mm towards center to be straight.
I think that pretty much covers what most collectors would want to know, but if have questions, please feel free to ask.
The case is likely from the same era and has quality Presto latches, so is USA made and solid. Just has some typical edge wear to the covering at the ends. Nothing minor and did not take pics of these areas as prioritized pics of the cue itself since can inly upload 12 images.
The cue is sold AS-IS due to being less than perfect, but is easily in collectible condition all the same.

Thanks for taking the time to read all of the above & again, please do not hesitate if have questions.
