Top mounting kit for easy, quick installation. All you need is a screw driver to install this vintage style surface mounting guitar bridge in minutes.
Mounting screws are included free!
Each reversible saddle has its own roller & intonation adjustment
Two separate post locking studs, front and back
Elongated bridge post holes for overall intonation adjustment
12 inch radius, 74mm (2-29/32") stud spacing
51mm (2") string spacing.
Allen wrench included.
Unique universal mounting design allows you to use existing bridge mounting screw holes to mount the unit, some guitars may require new screw holes). Use a neck shim if the bridge is too tall for your specific instrument.
Be sure to check our other listings for Teisco universal bridge base kits designed for bridges with 4mm and also 6mm holes (& 74mm post spacing).
Tip for luthiers/guitar builders:
The bridge saddles are not height adjustable however you can tinker with this bridge to get any radius you require!
Design of this bridge allows saddles to be shimmed to increase or lessen radius.
Really great for vintage instruments or instruments with odd radius necks.
(
I've personally cut pieces of pop can into shims and used the shims under the saddles to produce any radius I needed on these bridges).
Pro tip:
If a bridge that you plan to install is too tall, you can fix the problem quickly and easily by utilizing common neck shims. A neck shim will create the neck angle needed to install any bridge of your choice. No guitar bridge is "too tall". Just shim the neck for perfect low action then simply raise pickup height as needed to suit your playing style. If a bridge is taller than you expected,. don't return the bridge,. shim the neck for perfect action. (Neck shims are available right here on eBay).
I personally recommend wooden "full contact" type neck shims, full contact neck shims can actually improve sustain in many instruments.
