Paul Sumrall (S&S Cues) Custom Break Cue

WMD. Weapon of Mass Destruction. A very fitting description of what we have here. A custom break cue from Paul Sumrall (S&S Cues) built in 2009. I'll let his words describe the cue as written to me:
"I call it the WMD (weapon of mass destruction) It's a purple heart full splice w/ a half steel joint, a radial pin & purple heart shaft. I use a glass melamine ferrule/water buffalo tip. I can build it to whatever weight you would want. It is a dedicated break cue (not a break/jump).
I find the hard leather tip to be more accurate than phenolic (accuracy is the key to a great break).
I have all the components ready to go.
It will take appr. 3 weeks. I just need the weight you would want. I'll start it today."
The weight I chose was 19 and this is simply an awesome break cue. I had never played with a purple heart cue but had heard of its strength, which is what I was looking for. Not only is this cue fully spliced with it, but the entire shaft is purple heart. This cue is built for power. It generates just that, effortless power that just destroys racks. All the strength is harnessed with the leather water buffalo tip which provides the feel you need to control the cue ball on the break. This is a purpose built, players break cue, as Paul would know how to do being not only a great custom cue maker but an excellent player in his own right.
I never left the house with this cue and it is in excellent condition. No scratches, cuts, or a ding on it.
