Update: I asked about the cue on a big Facebook Pool group, and I have confirmed that it is in fact a cue made by Bob Renis, due to the RMR initials (with the 1st letter being a Backwards R) that are marked into the butt, under the rubber bumper (please see one of my last pictures, that shows the RMR Initials, with the Backwards R as the 1st letter of his full name). The RMR Initials stand for "Robert M Renis", and the date below the Initials are for the year that the cue was made (2006). I was told that Bob Renis passed away in 2009, and that he was building cues right up until the end of his life. This auction is for a very rare Bob (short for Robert) M Renis Custom pool cue, that is made out of Dymondwood.
The cue rolls pretty straight, together and apart, and the cue is in very good cosmetic condition.
If you do a YouTube search for "Bob Renis", then you will find my 2 roll test videos that I very recently took, and uploaded to YouTube, to show how straight the cue rolls, together and apart.
These cues are no longer made (due to the passing of the cue maker, around 10 years ago), so they are very rare, and I read that the pricing for a Bob Renis cue started at 0, for him to build you one.
The cue is in very good cosmetic condition, and though the butt is tapered in a very unusual way, the cue appears to roll very straight, together and apart.
The weight of the butt is 16.3oz, and the weight of the shaft is 3.9oz, for a total weight of 20.2oz.
According to my digital caliper, the shaft is 10.66mm at the tip.
The length of the butt is 29 inches long, and the length of the shaft is about 29 and 1/2 inches long, for a total length of about 58.5 inches.
I really love the way this cue hits. Very solid hitting cue, with great feed back on the cue.
The different colors in the Dymondwood are very beautiful, in my opinion.
Thanks for looking.
