This is a group of three original 8 x 10 glossy photographs of the Seeburg factory, plus an original press release from the desk of Frank Lupino, Jr.
The photos are views looking north and south on Dayton Street showing the facade of the new building that was constructed in the northeast corner of the factory block during the 1960's.
The press release describes the huge 186 foot long new lighted "Seeburg" sign that was placed on top of the new building.
All of the Seeburg photographs I am selling at this time came out of the Seeburg building in Chicago just before it was closed and emptied in 1980.
They are part of the material which Don Muller managed to save before Seeburg threw everything left in the building into dumpsters.
Don spent a week there in the summer of 1980 as they emptied out the building in preparation for the auction held September 24th and 25th, 1980.
He had bought all of their remaining parts inventory but was only allowed a few days to move what he could before they threw everything else away.
From clues I have found while sorting this material these photos may be from the desk or file cabinet of either Frank Luppino, Jr. or Bernard Cohen, both executives for Seeburg in the 1960's.
These photos were taken by the commerical photography firm of Oscar & Associates, Inc.
Any glare or "shininess" in the photos is due to poor lighting on my part while taking the photos, and is not on the actual photos themselves. They are in excellent condition.
